Today....

....was a perfect day!

And here is why.....

*Apple streusel pancakes for breakfast

*Beautiful weather and I truly mean.....BEAUTIFUL WEATHER

*Spending almost all day outside

*Accomplishing a BIG goal of mine.....I ran a 5k today!!!! My New Year's resolution was met!

*Lunch and dinner in the backyard

*BBQ blue cheese burgers, asparagus, and an ice cold blue moon with an orange slice

*Ella eating her very first hamburger EVER and LOVING it!!!

*Spending all day together as a family

*Watching my kiddos having a great day !!!

Unfortunately, the forecast shows 90+ degrees for later this week so until then, we will enjoy every tolerable moment outside that we can....

Our neighbors got a 'new toy' and after Paul got his 'training' session, he took the kiddos for a couple spins around the block

I think Paul was just as excited! Sienna joined the kids for a picnic lunch in the backyard...

.....to Jack's ball game!!!

Yesterday, was the first game for the Scrappers, or as Logan calls them ... 'Scrappy-dappy-doos'

It was fun to be at the ball field with the whole family cheering on Cousin Jack

He walked to get on base......Unfortuntely, there were 3 outs before he made it past first The best seat at the field......papa's lap

Las Vegas

Last Friday, we packed up the van and headed to Vegas for a roadtrip...

Paul had some recruiting to do, so we tagged along

It just happened to be 'red nose day' so the kids wore their cute shirts from Nannie on the way.

After a nap, we changed our clothes and met up with Kristen, Kim, and Makaila for dinner...

We headed over to the Luxor for dinner....

The next day, the guys headed to the soccer fields again, so we packed up the kids and headed down the strip.....

This is such a VEGAS pic!

It was chilly and windy and the walk took FOREVER!!!

Ella loved this horse mermaid...

We FINALLY made it to the Mirage to see the tigers....well, things had changed and they are no longer out in the open to see....you have to pay to get into the tiger and dolphin sanctuary. The kids and I decided to go in and have a look.

It was small and really amazing. The cats were soooooo close!

This guy was a GIANT!!!

Logan was too scared to pose with Ella....he thought this was a real kitty :)

And then came the dolphins....

There were multiple areas with dolphins and you could get soooo close!

It was really fun to watch them swim around and do an occasional jump.

We happened to be there during a feeding time with the trainers....

This really is a neat thing to see when in vegas

And then Paul was dropped off to meet us for the long walk back.....

After we all took a nap, we met up with Chris, Kim, and Makaila for a Vegas buffet....

We played a few slots, had a drink, and were amused by the crazies in Coyote Ugly

The next morning, we walked over to the MGM to see the tigers and then went to New York, New York for lunch....

It was a quick weekend getaway but lots of fun!!!!

St. Patty's Day....

Kiddos.....

Last week was 'spring break' for Ella and we had some beautiful weather..... (almost too warm)

Ella and Logan have been busy growing like weeds and they have both sprouted up sooooo much since the fall....

Mr. funny guy....always a smile on him :)

My little doughnut addict.....

This little guy LOVES the little powdered sugar ones....

He loves waking up, getting a bowl of 2 doughnuts, and watching some cartoons....

(also notice the undies....doing really well potty training)

One of the mornings, the kiddos begged and pleaded and out came the play-dough...

And then I noticed....hmmmm......

Logan moved his potty by the table so he could play and go....

And their next adventure was 'card throw'........

LOVE their excitement!

The kids were also invited to a birthday party at the park....it was the perfect day!

Logan is quite the little athlete these days....
