The author of some popular children's books, including "The Night Before Kindergarten", came across Ella's video on my blog and asked for permission to post on her blog....

So cute!

Homework

Our family project for the month was to decorate Ella's homework notebook and below is the finished product.....pretty cute

Ella's homework is assigned on a Friday and she has until the next Friday to complete it....

We have worked on it and today was the day we did the 'notebook' work

Here she is hard at work at her desk....

One of her assignments was to write her name 5 times....

I am proud of her!!!
She also drew the 5 body parts that go along with the 5 senses and labeled them all on her own!
Good Job ELLA!

NO GIRLS ALLOWED

Logan can be heard quite often saying this....NO GIRLS ALLOWED as he spends his quality time with Muntz....

This photo was from lunch today and the 'girls' had to sit at the other side of the counter from the 'big boys'

Hairspray

Last Sunday, Nannie treated Ella and I to a special girls day out....

We headed downtown to see the Valley Youth Theater's Production of Hairspray...

It was FABULOUS!

We all enjoyed it....

Below are some photos from after the show when Ella got to meet her favorite 'girls'

(Doesn't this actress below look like Vienna from the Bachelorette?)

Ella can still be heard singing "Good Morning Baltimore" and "You can't stop the Beat"

Thanks Nannie!!!

Blue-Green Sparkly Ones

Ella has wanted to get her ears pierced and earned it!

She wanted to have them done when Nannie and Grammie could both be there with her!

So sweet!

Today was the day and she wavered a little on whether she wanted to do it, but as of yesterday, she had made up her mind.

We picked up Grams and headed to the mall.....

It took her a few minutes to decide on which earrings she wanted but she picked the 'blue-green sparkly diamonds' (14k white gold, of course :0)

The before shot.....getting used to the chair

Ella with her Nannie and Grammie
Dots are on to mark the spots....

Ear #1....a little nervous, as you can see in her eyes, but no tears were shed!

So happy!

The after shot with Grammie and Nannie!

She loves her earrings and has said numerous times today, "can you believe I got my ears pierced!?!"

She looks even more adorable and I am so grateful that Nannie and Grammie were there to make her day that much more special, just as she wished!

GWAPES

He LOVES them....but only as a 'bunch'

"whole mommy, want grapes whole!"

The first week...

Loved every minute (besides all the 'hand raising')

Made new friends

Learned new things

Excited for more to come

LOVING Kindergarten....

And what could be better than the note we received from her teacher on Friday!!!
