The Bags....

I wish I could say that is was our 'money bags' that were getting bigger.....ha ha ha......nope!

It is the bags under my eyes that are!

Unfortunately, the bags under my eyes that are ginormous today! Our little Logan is a stinker!!!! Was a super sleeper at 3 months....sleeping a 6 to 7 hour stretch, no problem. Then, bam! I go back to work and Mr. Man wants to wake up all the time, sometimes every 3 hours. Super tired me! The past few months he has continued to wake up at least once a night which makes for a continuing tired mommy because (I forgot to mention) in the middle of the night, if daddy goes in, Logan cries harder. LOVES his daddy during the day, but only mommy will do at night. SOOOOOO......last week, the turnaround occurred. My sweet boy was going to sleep around 7:30pm and sleeping until about 5:30am.......fabulous!!!! Again......just a tease. Just when I am smiling as my head hits the pillow knowing that I get to catch some quality zzzzzzzzzz's, the little man decides he wants to start waking up again........ Last night, Logan decided at 2:30am that he wanted to be awake, not just wake up for a brief snack and go back to sleep......WHAT? He was bright eyed and crawling around his crib.... After several attempts and some fussiness (more Logan's than mine).........he was back to sleep with a smile on his face around 4:30am......yawn........ Once again I say, 'it's a darn good thing that Logan is so stinkin' cute because he wears me out.......literally' I guess it's time for me to invest in some new concealer......

And, not that anyone can tell, but this blog post was interrupted by one little stinker who decided to wake up after 20 minutes from his morning nap, standing in his crib and ready for 'action'......normally he sleeps for 1 1/2 to 2 hours..........

Who Cares that it was 112 degrees when you've got swimming, smoked chicken, guac, and cheese & the McG's

Summertime in Arizona.......guess what, it's HOT!!!!! We all know, we all complain about it, but you just have to accept it and find a way to cope!!!!

What's better than swimming, smoked chicken, guac, and cheese, and the McG's...........

I wish life didn't go by so quickly and we had more time to spend with our friends. Ella was ecstatic all day that her Brooke and Bradley were coming over to swim. The kids had a great time swimming in the pool. I am so glad that Ella has such good and sweet friends. Thanks to Blake for the yummy smoked chicken and onions........SO good. Thank you also to Blake for helping Paul prepare the beloved guacamole (recipe courtesy of our friend Kyle). Dinner was great, but all that was on the kids minds were the "pinkalicious" cupcakes that Ella helped me prepare this morning.......strawberry cake, strawberry frosting, and pink sparkle sprinkles....does it get better than that!!!!!

Ella loves the show, "Pinky dinky doo" and they always play a game called 'eat it or wear it'.....well, looks like Logan likes to do both! No folks, that's not a hairbow.....it's a carrot!

How is it that it doesn't matter how hot it is outside, the kids have so much energy and love to play and play and play!

Happy 9 Months to my crazy monkey!

To sum up Logan in one word......HAPPY!!!

He is sweet as can be and becoming quite the monkey!

He is 'officially' crawling and wants to explore........ He is pulling up on everything and giggles every time he realizes he is standing. He is starting to get really tired of 'baby food' and is liking finger foods alot more. Chef mommy better start getting creative! He is becoming quite the daddy's boy and loves to be held by daddy!!! Logan has good sleep nights and he will sleep for 10 hours and some nights he still wakes up a couple of times.....His daddy and I still tell him many times, "It's a good thing you are soooooo cute or you would be in trouble"

I LOVE this little guy!

I love how he blows raspberries with a full mouth of food and giggles because he knows he is a little stinker......

I love how right before he falls asleep, he pulls his paci out and softely babbles.....

I love how he gives the biggest and best slobbery kisses....

I love how he is learning to play peek-a-boo and giggles when he covers his face up......

I love how he stares at his hand and smiles when he waves 'bye-bye' ..........

I love that he snorts like a piggy throughout the day and then giggles......

I love how he LOVES to splash in the pool, the bigger the splash the better.........

I love his baby blue eyes and am soooo glad they didn't change color......

I love his toothless grin.......

I love that when he eats, he ALWAYS ends up with food all over his nose..........

I love his chubby feet and toes!..........

I LOVE that I am so very blessed to be his mommy!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy 4th of July!!!!

We had a fantastic day! Ella awoke to a couple of surprises......some stickers (which she decorated the walls with) and a bead kit to make a flag necklace (which she is modeling in the photo below) . Logan slept wonderfully last night from 7:15pm to 6:30am so he was a happy camper. The kids looked adorable in their red, white, and blue attire! It was really cute to hear Ella keep talking about the "sorceajeweleye"

We headed to the pool to enjoy the day. Logan liked his new crab....just a little. He was much happier sitting with daddy and splashing with some new toys and a new bathing suit....his belly won't fit in his other ones.....

The PERFECT watermelon was devoured today!

After finally getting out of the pool, we headed out front to play with some poppers for Ella and Jack!

Ella insisted on a 'parade' so we went on a little bike ride down the street

We didn't make it to fireworks so we watched a bit on the t.v. It was a great day! I have two super tired little ones and a couple super tired 'big' ones too!

He's got an arm on him

Logan loves to play ball.......He giggles and shakes and gets excited. He sat on the floor the other night and played for almost an hour with golf balls. He played catch with Papa and Logan can throw the ball quite well. Not sure about daddy's dreams of golf and soccer......this little guy might just be the quarterback!
