Birthday Boy's Dinner

We have a potato lover......especially french fries
So...in honor of this, we chose 'Red Robin' for Logan's 1st birthday dinner!
He was happy and shoved many a french fry into those chubby cheeks!

A family pic

Logan and mommy

Daddy and Logan

We chose not to have them sing to Logan for fear he would have a 'meltdown'....
He seemed quite happy when they delivered his b-day sundae, but......

......he shivered and

.......he quivered, but....
He decided to try another bite........and

decided he wasn't a fan of ice cream! I am sure this will change.....

Ella and daddy, on the other hand, enjoyed their ice cream treats!

I think Logan had a great 1st birthday.....
Ella was a great big sister all day and got to pick out a giant Daisy Duck stuffed toy at the new Disney store for being so sweet.
After Logan was asleep, she did ask me to take some pictures of her. I think she was definitely jealous of the fact that the camera wasn't on her all day! She loves to have her photo taken.
This is one of the poses she did for me! Love ya Ella!

Happy 1st Birthday Logan!!!

Happy Birthday Logan!
If there is one word that mommy would use to describe you it is 'sweet'....
As Ella would say, "you are the apple 'in' my eye"
I can't believe it has been a whole year with this little guy.....
I love his blue eyes......love them!
I love his big belly laugh that sounds like Santa.....
I love his new 'howling' noise.....
I love how when you hold him, he points where he wants to go.....
I love his shyness.....how he smiles at everyone and then cuddles in to hide....
I love how he delights in launching toys across the room from his playpen.....
I love how he still whispers to you when you rock him before he falls asleep.....
and I love more than anything else that I am HIS MOMMY!......
Logan LOVES to eat so his special day had to start off the right way...... After sleeping through the night (thank you god for that :0) he was treated to banana chocolate chip pancakes, pear, and bacon.......mmmmmmmm.....yumminess!

He got to open 2 presents from his sister....and one from his nannie and muntz. He wasn't quite sure about this, as you can tell by his expression.

Loving the computer from big sister Ella....now he might actually leave hers alone

A learning turtle....he delights in anything that makes sounds and plays music....thanks nannie and muntz

A click safari.....Ella has tried it out and gives it the 'thumbs up'......he likes the noises!

Had to put this one in here......Silly girl. She wasn't quite as happy about her choice to dress herself up like this when the stickers had to come off the lashes.....

Standing tall.....

This would be his newest expression.......goes along with the 'howling' noise....
Love this hat!

His first meal at the mall.....He was content while cramming bread, turkey, and cheese into those cheeks!

Mac and cheese for this cutie!

Trying out his new shoes in Stride Rite.....thank goodness we had his feet measured. I am used to the tiny feet of Ella....her first shoes were a size 3....this big guy got a size 5 wide today.

Had to take a pic of his cute new shoes.....Daddy loves the pumas and picked those out for Logan!
More pics of dinner to follow.......

One year ago today......10/9/08

One year ago today, at 7:37a.m. ......the sweetest little boy came into this world.
It feels like it was just yesterday. This year has gone by so quickly. I am so incredibly lucky to have two beautiful kids who make me smile each day.

This is the first picture of Logan....during the c-section he popped his little hand and arm out....
He was ready to come out! Pretty amazing photo.
Welcome to the world baby Logan......He makes his 'full' appearance....you can see the time on the clock.....7:37a.m.
I finally get my chance to see my beautiful baby boy! Such a special moment
The big sister checking out her little brother.....I was SO sad I had to miss this moment, since I was in recovery. At least there is photos!

More blogging to follow.....just wanted to remember 10/9/08 with a few photos!

Our Weekend Celebration.........

We celebrated a couple of things this past Sunday:
1) Pat's Birthday
2) The last swim of 2009
We were also hoping to celebrate a Cardinal's victory but that was not the case this week.

This is my FAVORITE pic from Sunday.....
I LOVE the happiness on Logan's face.

Swimming with Uncle Pat......the pool was COLD!!!!! Only men and kids ventured in!

Falling in......on purpose

Silly Ella with Daddy

A quick photo before getting out........can you see the blue lips on everyone?????

Pure Sweetness!

This little girl has the biggest, sweetest, kindest heart!
Last night, as I picked her up to come snuggle on the couch with me, she lay her head on my shoulder and hugged me tight. She said,
"Mommy, I don't want to grow up......I don't want to get any bigger. I love when you hold me. I want you to always be able to hold me."
Just how sweet is that.....

GO CUPCAKES! Ella's first soccer game!

Today was the day!
The first of many mornings we will be getting ready for soccer......

Daddy helping Ella get the shinguards, socks, and shoes 'just right'
Daddy and Ella......LOVE this pic!
3 of the 5 members of the "Cupcakes"

Getting ready for action......
Stretching with Coach Paul
Ella retrieving her ball from behind the goal

Grams and Logan.....Logan was wearing his yellow soccer shirt to show his support
Ella's Cheering Section!

The first of MANY water breaks......It was WAY too hot today!
Look at those fire red cheeks....the girls worked hard! Unfortunately, there was a GIANT on the other team (double Ella's size) that dominated the entire game......BOO!
Post-game snack enjoyment.....Brooke relaxing. She scored a great goal...oops, in the wrong goal. Didn't matter, we cheered loud for her!
Our sweet girl who made sure she hugged her teammates and told them what a good job they did today....I LOVE this girl! She couldn't be sweeter!
Hoping for COOLER temperatures and MORE goals in the 'Cupcakes' future!
