Bedtime...

So, tonight I was saying goodnight to Logan...

He says to me...

"mommy, if you rub my back, I will give you a dollar tomorrow and you can use it to buy something for yourself"

Gotta love that kid!

Happy Birthday Paul!!!

This past Sunday was Paul's birthday....

The kids were so excited to give him his special gifts....

I had their photo taken in their Liverpool outfits and the kids picked out a Wii game...

LOVE the excitement in Logan's face as he gives his daddy his present!

They loved it when daddy opened their photo!
And what's better than cuddling in daddy's arms to watch a cartoon...

Then it was time to skype everyone and somehow Paul ended up getting a moustache drawn on him....the kids thought it was funny but then Logan got panicked and immediately wiped it off!

Let's just say...Paul is NOT a moustache guy :0{

Then we headed over to Suz and Pat's to continue the celebration....

Suz had finished the 1/2 marathon that morning...woo-hoo!!! Great Job Auntie SUZ!!!

We had chips/dip, pizza, and wings...

The kids wore these shirts in honor of their special daddy!

And it wouldn't be Paul's birthday without a special homemade cheesecake from suz!

Happy Birthday to an amazing husband and daddy!!! We are so lucky to have you and we LOVE you!

The cabin (I mean beautiful house)

The last weekend that Auntie Jojo and Uncle Curtis were in town, we headed up to Mund's Park near Flagstaff to have a weekend away in a cabin (well, beautiful house is more like it...thanks to a friend of my sister's)

We were really surprised how much snow was still on the ground since they had been having quite warm weather.....the kids were ecstatic!

This was in the backyard....a perfect snow paradise for the kids!

After some snow time and a trip to the grocery store by myself and Jo, we had a fabulous chili dinner and settled in to snuggle up, get warm, and relax.....Thanks to Paul and Curtis for the nice warm fire! We watched "Mr.Popper's Penguins" and had a great night!

The next morning, we had a nice big breakfast and prepared for a day of snow much fun!

Ella dancing and listening to her new MP3 player with headphones in her hat!

This little puppy was on one of the beds in the cabin and the kids cuddled him for the days we were there :0)

Dressed and ready to start our adventure....

Our plan was to walk down to the little store to see if they had crayons....Somehow the markers hadn't made the trip and Ella was desperate to color!

There was a GIANT field of snow at the country club that provided hours of entertainment for us!

Ella's snow angel

An action shot of Logan's snowball!

Good catch Ella!

Curtis was 'under attack'

Look at the ADORABLE snowman that Ella built!

Cutest thing ever!

Double trouble....Curtis and Logan!

...to be continued

The cabin (Part 2)

The walk down was MUCH longer than we had anticipated and the kids were not excited for the walk back, so Paul and Jo went back to get the car to come and pick us up...

While they were gone, Curtis and I had a great time in the snow with the kids!

Curtis helped them make a snow frog princess...

Finished product....
It was so much fun so Curtis and Ella went on to make a snow leopard...

It was then time to go back to the cabin, change into some DRY clothes, have lunch, and relax...

Jo and I were excited to go for a run!!! It was beautiful!

Paul and Curtis built a little hill in the backyard for the kids to sled down....it was perfect!!!!

The kids had so much fun!

Love her eyes in this photo!

A little help from Jojo

And then it was Paul's turn....watch out!

CRASH!!!

We convinced Jo to give it a try...

Paul back for seconds....

And again for Jo :0)

Finally, the kids got their hill back!!! :0)

One of my favorite...The boys were having fun too.....

Chilled beer and time for a BBQ

And the sleding continued...Time for a double ride...

BBQ....ready for action!

Look at this crazy guy! The kids convinced him to go outside in his 'underpants' and do a snow angel and he did!!!

After an ICE cold shower, a yummy dinner, and watching "zookeeper", the kids were finally asleep....

We played cards and laughed alot! This is what Ella had written on our score sheet!

The next morning was much COLDER and WINDY!

We went for a walk before packing up to head home....

Matching boots....Logan wore Ella's hand me downs!

BRRRRR!!!!

A quick pic on the porch...

Ella and Vanilla and their matching owl hats!

Thank goodness for camera timers!

CHEESE!

We had such a good time!
