Crafting for Turkey Day

Ella and I decided to make a couple "turkey day" crafts to bring to Auntie Suz and Uncle Pat's house tomorrow. I helped her trace her hand to make cute turkeys and then we added the glitter sparkle leaves. Ella wrote her own message across the top.

Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head

Ella "wuvs" the rain.....I took her to the window this morning and showed her the falling rain and she immediately said "Can I jump in the puddles?" Mommy amazingly said "yes" and she was quickly up the stairs to get her rain boots on (they are a little small since they are from our trip last summer) but she crammed them on and with her raincoat on and snapped up....she was out the door. I love this photo to the left because if you look closely, you can see the raindrops falling on her head. She had a great time but needed some new dry pants when we got inside.

The Wonderful and Talented GG

Ella and Logan are lucky little kids......they not only have wonderful grandparents, but they are also blessed with fabulous great-grandparents as well. Their great-grandma (G.G. is the name she was given by Ella) is very talented and sends special gifts to Ella, Logan, and even Ella's baby dolls. Here are some pictures of just a few of the cardigans, hats, dresses, etc.... that G.G. has knitted. They are absolutely adorable and look at those cute models!!!

Logan is 6 weeks old

Happy 6 weeks sweet baby boy! I can't believe how quickly time goes by. Logan is such a good baby and we enjoy him more each day. He is a smiley guy now and he does the cutest little wink with one eye when he lights up the room with his grin. He is so cuddly and loves to curl up against you when you hold him.

Our tough little guy has been through alot in his 6 weeks.....multiple catheters, an IV, and half a dozen tests. Through it all he always was calm and labeled as the "best baby" by the person doing the tests. We know he is! Logan has an issue with his kidney that will continue to be followed and may require surgery when he is a year old. I pray he outgrows it......

On a side note, after giving myself over 300 shots throughout the pregnancy and post-partum period....I am officially DONE! I am SO incredibly HAPPY that I do not have to poke another needle into my bruised and sore legs or stomach!

My Sweet Girl

Ella is such a sweetie! Everyday she does the cutest things. Today, she was headed out with her dad to run a few errands. She said "good-bye" to Sprout with a quick pat on the head, said "good-bye" to mommy with a hug and a kiss and an "I'm gonna miss you", and then it was Logan's turn. She LOVES her brother......so much. Well, he was in his swing and since she didn't want to disrupt him, she laid down on the ground and kissed the leg of the swing and told him "I'm gonna miss you WOAGIE (his nickname from her, rhymes with hoagie, sometimes it is just WOAG)....Your big sister WUVS you!" She is such a good big sister.

After she got back from running errands, she had a pink (her favorite color) balloon in her hand. Her favorite thing to do is to let them go up...up....up.... but only in the house so she can still see it. I watched her take her shoes off and run to the couch. Then she gave her balloon a big hug and a big kiss and told it "I WUV you balloon. I am going to let you go now, but please come back to me later today because I will miss you." And she let it go and up...up...up it went. But, you'll be happy to know it came back to her this evening and she has been playing with it since.
