Noah's Days at Preschool

Instead of a Halloween celebration at preschool, they have 'Noah's Day's'. The kids get to dress up as animals and they make fun crafts of arks, animals, and rainbows. We picked up a cute leopard costume for our cute Ella. She has been so excited to wear it. This morning I got out the 'black' pencil to draw a nose and whiskers on her, only to find out it was dark green......oops. Luckily we made a quick trip to the store on the way to get a black one and even picked up some black lipstick to 'complete' her look. I was able to stay at school the whole time with her and it was so much fun. My favorite part was watching and listening to Ella sing all the songs she had learned in chapel this morning......proud mommy I am!
Ready for school on this chilly morning......notice the tail!
Just how stinkin' cute is this little leopard!

singing loud and dancing at chapel!

Doing one of the crafts....painting water for the ark to float on

They also had a petting zoo......yes, I cringed as I watched her and hand sanitized her as soon as she came out. She loved it!

Petting a bunny

her favorite.....the pony

Snacktime on the playground with some of her friends

I love her preschool and love all the great friends she has made!

Railroad Park on Monday

Since our buddy Addy has become a big kindergartner, it is so hard to get together to play. Luckily she had a day off from school on Monday and it was a beautiful day outside. We met up for lunch at yummy Paradise Bakery and then off to the Railroad Park........
The girls were so excited......wanting to ride the train
Chugga chugga.......choo choo! All aboard!

Logan held on tight and loved the ride!

We played in the grass and the girls blew some bubbles......Logan showed off his new skill of walking and kept a tight grip on his new favorite toy.......a paper cup from Paradise Bakery

Concentrating hard on her bubbles

The girls were ready for an ice cream cone. Megan and I laughed about how the girls seriously sprint everywhere they go and how funny it would look it we did that!!!! Good exercise, might have to give it a try!

Loving the view! had to do this twice
Our fabulous friends.......lookin' super cute for Halloween

Me and the kiddos.....

One last ride on the Merry-go-round before we left.....
We had such a fun day!

Pumpkin Patch

What a great day for the pumpkin patch.......
We picked up Grammie and Papa and headed to Tomalchaff Farms
It was a little warm in the sun, but beautiful in the shade
So much fun!!!

Waiting in line for the pony ride

Ella was SO excited to ride Nugget!

She did great! Held on tight!

Having a great time!

Cruising around the pumpkin patch.....cracker in hand

Lookin' at his silly sister

I pick THIS one!

Ella got to pick the pumpkin this year, but Papa had to help hold it

The Pumpkin Patch made one little girl quite hungry......a good thing Papa got some Kettle Korn

It was a really fun day and I am sure we will go again next year!

Soccer Saturdays

Ella really missed soccer.....She missed one practice and one game while she was sick.
She was super happy to get back out on the field yesterday.
With 3 players missing, they had to play 3 on 3.....and The Cupcakes had no subs, so Ella was quite worn out after the game.....
She still prefers practice over games.......She is comfortable playing with her teammates but doesn't like how BIG the other teams are when they run at her. She is definitely one of the smallest girls out there but she has the BIGGEST heart on anyone!
Guarding the 'goal' as she likes to do

GO ELLA!

1 Year Check-up and Flu Shots

Time has gotten away from me, but as I download some pics, I see how I have missed some posts.........
Logan had his check-up almost 2 weeks ago. He weighed 20lbs and 13 ounces and was 31 inches tall!!!
He got 5 shots but was a brave boy! Gotta love tylenol!
Big Sis got a flu shot, as well. I told her in the waiting room and she was okay with it. She was a brave girl and got 2 starburst as her treat after!

Mommy......I Feel.......

"mommy....i feel all better today!"
........FINALLY!!!!!
Ella started with a low grade fever, runny nose, and cough last Wednesday. She was worse Thursday with a temp up to 103.4axillary. But, Friday and Saturday were fever-free, good days. And then......Saturday night, she was literally up ALL night coughing until 6:40am when she finally fell asleep out of pure exhaustion..... So, Sunday we spent 4 hours in urgent care.....she felt officially 'crummy'. They swabbed her for strep, did a chest x-ray, gave her a breathing treatment to see if that would help with her coughing....... and finally decided it was 'croup'. I don't think that is what she had at all. As horrible as Ella felt, she still kept her sense of humor during the whole visit. When she was having her chest x-ray, I explained it to her as getting her picture taken so when the tech said, "okay...here we go", Ella busted out in a cute pose with a BIG smile! That's my girl! The doctor did give us a prescription for tylenol with codeine to help with the cough. She did sleep that night until 3:30am, but then was up coughing again. Horrible cough!!!! Yesterday, she was a little better, but then felt crummy again last night. BUT......last night she slept ALL night and feels MUCH BETTER this morning! She still stayed home from school because of the cough.....and hopefully she will EAT today. She has already lost 2.5 pounds during this sickness and has had NO appetite......
Let's hope this is the end of the illness!!!!! I am READY for things to be back to normal!

Update on Logan

Yesterday we took Logan to Phoenix Children's Hospital for a repeat renal ultrasound and a repeat VCUG (voiding cystourethrogram). These tests were to recheck his kidney with the hopes that he had outgrown the 'reflux'.......(the urine doesn't stay in the bladder, but can flow back up to the kidneys which can cause infection). My hopes were high that he had outgrown it since he has never had any infections. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. His left kidney didn't show normal growth and there is still Grade 5 reflux, which is the worst possible. We will follow-up with his urologist soon and see what this all means.....we do know that he will need surgery of some sort. Breaks my heart.....it was really hard to get these results.
The good news is that his right kidney looked great and doesn't have any reflux. Logan was a trooper and did fabulous. He did shed a few tears, but for the most part he was okay during both exams and during his catheterization. He made sure to give all the staff there some smiles when it was all done. They all loved him and he came home with 3 new stuffed animals and a pile of stickers!

Time for a Party.......1 year old style!

Time to celebrate this little guy turning 1.....what a blessing he is!
So happy to have some great friends and family join us today in his honor!
It was a beautiful day.......a little warm, but perfect October weather!
Wasn't easy to get a photo in his birthday hat......same hat Ella had (except hers was pink, of course)

Happy Birthday to Logan.......You can see Ella was 'in position' to blow out the candle

Hmmmmmm......what's this??????

It is fabulous!!!!!

This little guy was LOVING his sugar rush!!!!

He looked like the Incredible Hulk when he was through....so up to the tub he went....The water was all green when he was done

I'm ready to open those gifts mommy!

Just a funny little story......Ella took a peek inside one of the gift bags and couldn't believe her eyes.....Someone had brought a gift for Logan that he already had! So.....she ran inside and got his just so she could be sure.....Made for a great laugh.
