Hollywood

"i'm going to Hollywood!"
Not sure where Ella heard about Hollywood but she was convinced this week that she was going there with her aunt, uncle, cousin, mom, dad, and logan......
She told me that we were flying, not driving....
On wednesday, as it started to get dark that night, ella looked and me and sadly said, "mom, guess I 'm not going to Hollywood today....."
on thursday night, when I got home from work, there were 2 suitcases and a bag packed on the top of the stairs......for Hollywood, of course.....
Tonight, Ella was wearing flip-flops because she told me that she didn't have any slippers to put on.......I told her that they were all in her suitcase and she said, "mom, I have to leave them there......I wouldn't want to forgot them. I need to have what I might need with me!"
Finally, after a little discussion, she finally realized that we are not going to Hollywood in the near future and that she would have to unpack......let me clarify, she was going to have to dump out her cases and I was going to have to put away everything......and that everything consisted of:
8 pairs of underwear
7 pairs of socks
1 pair of sheep gloves
1 baseball hat
4 pairs of slippers
1 pair of boots
13 other pairs of shoes
Gotta love Ella!!!

THE RASH!!!!!!

We are going on week 2 of this horrible rash!!!!
Poor Ella is missing day 3 of school today......
Even though we don't think the rash is contagious at all, it looks absolutely horrible and now is quite itchy!
It all started with a small red mark on the right side of Ella's neck.....it was there for about a week and didn't 'do' anything.....until a week ago Saturday, it decided to get big red and cause a rash.... I started putting an antibiotic ointment on that night. The following day, Paul brought her by the hospital when I was working to have one of the docs take a look. He thought it might be fungal so we started alternating the fungal and antibiotic creams. Tuesday, it was getting worse, so I took her to the doctor. It was a mystery! Her pediatrician started her on oral antibiotics and continued the antibiotic ointment...... On Thursday, it started to look 'dried out' and peeling..... Friday, when her doctor called to check on her, I happily told her it looked SO much better and was just a little 'pink' on her neck. Well.....that happiness only lasted a day and on Saturday, the rash was HORRIBLE again....spreading up her neck and bottom of her chin and itching!!! Seriously????!!!!?????? We patiently waited out the weekend, and back to the doctor we went yesterday...... Her doctor prescribed something for the itching, we stopped the antibiotic ointment, continued the oral antibiotic, and started the antifungal cream again......
BUT, most importantly, her doc got her in to see a pediatric dermatologist tomorrow.... (it just happens to be her bro-in-law...nice to have connections :0)
Today, it is still itchy, still red, still have a couple of larger spots that are peeling/cracking....
I just want something to make it go away!!!!!
Poor Ella!

The pics don't really show just how bad it really is......
I actually took video of it to show to the dermatologist tomorrow when it was at its worst....
Wish us luck and let's hope we get some answers and solutions!

A Spoonful of Sugar.......

Sunday was a special day!
Ella woke up, came downstairs, and said, "Good Morning and HELLO Mary Poppins FANS!"
Ella had a date with her mommy and daddy!
We went to see "Mary Poppins" at Gammage
She absolutely LOVES the movie and it always singing the songs....
Walking in with daddy!
Waiting for the show to start....
Even though we had balcony seats, one row from the top, we were right in the middle and could see everything. So cute, so smiley!

Finally got a pic with the words in the background......
Posing with daddy at intermission.......
The show was FANTASTIC!!!!!
The singing, dancing, and backdrops were amazing!
I cannot believe how talented the kids were that starred as Jane and Michael.....
We had a great time and can't wait to take Ella (and soon Logan) to another show!
.......thanks Nannie :0)

"I do"

Paul and I were invited to a wedding of a good friend of mine from work......
Just like Paul, the groom is Scottish/English and they wore kilts and had the bagpipers.
The week had been sunny and warm, but it was a rainy and cold day which means 'good luck' for the happy couple!
It was a beautiful wedding at a beautiful country club.
We had a great time!
The rainbow after the ceremony
I LOVED my dress......it was my bargain find. I had been in search of a dress and when I saw this one, I LOVED it! The best kept secret about it......it was on clearance for $9.98
Can you believe it?????? I couldn't! I would have paid ALOT more for it because it was exactly what I wanted.....good thing I didn't have to

Warming up by the fire after the ceremony.....
Friends, fireplace, and wine= :0)
The food was great, especially finding a 'heart' in my salad......
The gang from work!
Me and Jess......such a beautiful bride!

Daddy/Daugher Dance 2010

Tonight Ella and Paul headed off for their 2nd Annual Daddy/Daughter Dance.....
So cute!
Since Ella has been staying home all week from school due to her crazy mystery rash (not contagious) on her neck, she was ecstatic to have a night out!
She had me 'present her' as she came down the stairs!
Beautiful Ella with her handsome daddy!

What can I say????? They love to pose for photos!

Ella felt quite sassy in her 'high heels'
You can see her rash in this pic.......poor girl! Might be making a 2nd trip back to the dr. tomorrow. She was actually in tears the other night wishing for her 'beautiful neck' back....
In the car, ready to go, and still posing for pics!
And away they go! They had a great time and are home with tired feet from dancing the night away!

Simply Silly

Logan is pure happiness!
This little guy ALWAYS has a smile on his face!
He loves to laugh and he loves to make others laugh with him!
He has become quite the comedian at mealtime.....
Check out the photos below of his green bean comedy routine!

Quite the little 'ham' in front of the camera!
He also loves his 'dessert'!!!!
Unlike his sister who would eat a little frosting and leave the rest, Logan DEVOURS the entire cupcake until just a few crumbs remain!
He has learned to yell, "KA-CAKE"!!!!!
Once again at lunchtime today, he was putting on quite the show for me and luckily he kept it going so I could snap a photo of his 'squish face'
I LOVE this little man!

Ella's 1st GOAL!!!!!

Ella's #1 fan! He can be heard shouting, "EWWWWWAH!" on the sidelines!
The Cupcakes were ready for action last Saturday.....for once, the other team didn't tower over them in height. I think this gave our team the confidence they needed!
In the first part of the game, Ella 'NEARLY' scored a goal......she had kicked the ball from nearly midfield and just before it went into the goal, the other team kicked it away. It was SO close and we were so excited! Ella was just happy to have made a great play!
She was full of smiles and 'modeling' her curls that she had to have for the game!

Later in the game, Ella once again got the ball......she dribbled in across the field with everyone chasing behind her. It seemed to take FOREVER and seemed to be in slow motion......
And then......at last, she kicked the ball RIGHT INTO THE GOAL!!!!!
It was AWESOME!!!!!!!
I had tears in my eyes and so did Paul!
It was the cutest thing ever! Everyone was cheering so loud for her.......
This is her running back to midfield after her goal......look at that leap!
She definitely had a 'spring' in her step!
After the game, the other team's coach came over asking who Ella's mom was.....he had to tell me how cute her goal was and how she turned shades of red after she scored! I LOVE my Ella!
She reminded me of my 'promise' of a special treat if she scored.....so after the game, we headed out to lunch with the McGlassons. We tried a new place..."Baby's Steak & Lemonade". It was really good and we will definitely go back!
Here is Logan with his cheeks full of mommy's lemonade! He loved it!
The french fry worshiper!
Ella and Brooke.....the 'cute' pose!
Ella and Brooke.....the 'silly' pose!

The Cupcakes have one more game to go and then a 2 game tournament......here's hoping for some more goals from our newly confident girl!

Our Valentine Fun!

Since I had the pleasure of working on Valentine's Day, we did our celebrating on the 13th.
After Ella's soccer game and lunch, we let the kids open their goodies when we got home.
Logan was so excited to get a cuddly Mickey Mouse and towel.....
Ella was SOOOOO excited to get a Hannah Montana art set......with lots of glittery things!
Logan also got some squirty trains for the tub! Choo-choo!
After naptime and getting cleaned up, we were off to the Coyotes game.....

Paul had gotten tickets through the college and they were great seats!
The kids loved the 'noise'
They especially loved their churros!!!!
After the churros, Logan was sitting on Paul's lap eating cheerios and one happened to be tossed into the way too teased and hairsprayed hair of the snobby lady in front of us.....hee hee
We had a great time even though the Coyotes lost....
After work, I came home to a nice surprise of beautiful flowers and homemade cupcakes.......
Ella picked out the flowers and had to get yellow since she tells me that is my favorite color...
They were beautiful!
Hope everyone had a Happy Hearts Day!
