Chocolatey and Cheesy

Let's face it......I like to take photos, especially of my kiddos.
Ella has gotten very cooperative and will always stop to allow me my photo op....
A couple of days ago, Logan decided he would as well and has mastered his 'chez' (his way of saying 'cheese') pose, which includes a big cheeseball grin and a head tilt!

Last night, Paul decided it was time to break out the big ear'd bunny and let the kids enjoy some Easter chocolate.
Ella was the first to chomp those ears....
Logan 'dug in' as well and was happy to oblige for a 'chez' pose

Or two.....
Ella demostrating her pose, as well
Ella has also become quite the photographer and is always asking to take pics with my camera....
Logan was happy to smile and say 'chez' for his sister!
He kept posing because Ella kept clicking the photos.....
Trying the 'chez' with a mouth full wasn't easy
Time for a pic of my other posing cutie!
Ella had one more 'go' with the camera
He simply LOVED posing for his sister....
And then, of course, they wanted a photo TOGETHER!
They are the BEST of buddies!
We had to get a pic of the kiddos with their Great Auntie Ann.....we will miss you....have a safe trip home!
So there you go......my little smiling cheeseballs! They are SO stinkin' cute! Love them!

Lunch at the Lake

In honor of a visit by our very special Aunt Ann, we decided to head out to the new Dillon's restaurant at Lake Pleasant......
Such a beautiful day and what a great drive.....
The desert is full of flowers right now.
Suddenly we had a 'road block'...... a wild burro who decided to 'poop' in front of our car
Finally (when he was 'done') he trotted over next to our car to allow for a photo op for us. The kids loved him..... Ella kept asking where he came from and if his owner, the farmer, was looking for him
Ready for lunch.....

Ella was SO excited that Jack took a pic with her....
Only one person wanted dessert.......2 cherries for our pretty girl.
Ella wanted to look fancy today, so we put curler in her hair and she wore her cute dress....when we got there, she told me, "thanks mommy. I am the fanciest girl at the lake"
(I think the 65yr old lady in the g-string bikini probably thought she was the fanciest girl at the lake but we thought she was the scariest......poor Jack may be scarred for life)
Logan wanted some ice cream but would only take it if Ella fed him.....then he would giggle and say "EWWA"

Our fam with Auntie Ann
Pat and Jack.....
The Riddlebergers with Auntie Ann
The Dunns (and Logan) with Auntie Ann
Ella HAD to take a photo of Jack........
Sisters
Walking back to our cars....
Auntie Ann came back to our house and staying with us until tomorrow.....we went for a walk after dinner.....
Such pretty blooms....
Paul had her pose with a cactus....
And then up the hill we went......wagon and all.......Logan LOVED the bumpiness
Doesn't look too steep here....but this worried me a little as Paul took them down in the wagon...
Enjoyed our day.......

Growing up......

My little guy and little gal are growing up way too fast.......

I am so glad that I get to spend as much time at home with them as I do

They are only little once and not for very long.......
I LOVE these kiddos!
Ella helping prepare lunch and using a 'knife' to cut strawberries!!!! Such a BIG girl!

Logan's 1st drawing! He loves to color with crayons and does everything very carefully.....Such a big boy!

Our Super Cute Pink Friends

We awoke this morning to find out that we had been 'flocked'....
I knew it was coming, but it was a surprise to everyone else.
The teen group at the Church associated with Ella's school is doing this as a fundraiser and since my sister got flocked by her good friend (who is a teacher there), she decided to then send some cute pink feathered friends our way.....
We counted 30 of these throughout our yard.....aren't they adorable!
Ella was excited to take pics with them......

My aunt Ann is in town for a visit and enjoyed posing with Ella and the flamingo friends
Grammie showing Logan the 'birds'
Ella teaching her Great Auntie Ann who are the 'girl ones' and who are the 'boy ones'

Ella getting one more visit in after bathtime and before they are 'picked up'
My favorite one!
Giddy-up flamingo!
I am sad to report that our cute pink friends are now gone and getting ready to put smiles on some more faces......
We decided to send them on.....to who, you might ask.....well, guess you will have to wait and see!

Our Big Boy!

Today was Logan's check-up.....he is just 4 days shy of being a BIG 18 month old!
He weighed 24 pounds (26th%) and was 34 inches tall (92nd%)
He has grown nearly 3.5inches and gained nearly 4 pounds since he turned one!
Logan is growing like a weed!
Just to give you an idea, Ella weighed 25lbs and was 33.5inches at age 2!
Logan was a brave boy and got 2 shots, he cried, but the lollipop made it all better!
Getting ready to leave this morning.....I was trying to take a photo of Ella and Logan joined in the pic with his 2 remotes! Ella wanted a photo in her new pink dress.......
You can see how tall her brother is getting........gonna catch up to Ella real soon!
