Thanksgiving Day 2012

I was thankful to have the day off from work this year...
We headed over to the Dunns for dinner...
The food was great!
The weather quite toasty...You had to find the shadiest spot possible
It wouldn't be Thanksgiving without a little football..

Ella enjoyed her press on nails..
Auntie Suz had even found Thanksgiving crackers which we all opened and put on our hats...
 Me and my mom...
 More happy hat wearers...
And, of course, the two happiest of all....

A great day and ALOT to be thankful for!!!

Daisy/Daddy Dance

Ella has loved every meeting and every part of being a Daisy scout this year...
She was excited about the Girl Scout Dance and even more excited that her date was daddy!

So adorable!!!
 Such a beauty!!!
The two were quite tired when they got home...
They danced the night away!

School Thanksgiving Celebrations

The kids were so excited for Thanksgiving celebrations at school...
They were on the same day, but luckily not at the same time...
First up was Logan...
After a Chapel service, the kids played some games, crafted, and then were ready for a feast...

Each class had made something to contribute and the kids tried each thing on their plate...
It was adorable to hear Logan's teacher saying to each of them, "Be brave little mouth" as they mustered up the strength to try the sweet potatoes or pumpkin muffins...

That afternoon, it was time to head to Ella's school for their play...
The parents all crowded into the classroom with cameras ready...
Ella had told us the big news prior to this day but it was so sweet to hear her teacher tell the story about Ella asking to be the narrator, a job that usually her teacher always did.  Not being able to think of a reason why not, Ella became the 1st official narrator and did a spectacular job!!!
Logan was proud of his sister and couldn't wait to take a photo with her and Mrs. Gagner

Logan's Turn!!!

Some of you that keep up with the blog may remember my post a few years back detailing Ella's experiment with putting something up her nose, giving me flashbacks to being age 3 and putting a bead up my nose leading to an emergent trip to have it 'removed'....Ella chose paper and luckily I was able to get it out with tweezers and helping hands to hold her down.....Well, I thought the coast was clear....I told my mom I had been paid back...I WAS WRONG!!!
A couple of weeks ago, I had picked up Ella from school and Logan suddenly said, "It hurts mom!" I turned around to see a drop of blood coming from his nose...He had been playing with a styrofoam cup from Chickfila and had broken a piece off, he had proceeded to put it in his nose, panick and try to pick it out....This pushed it up further past the ridge at the top of his nostril...I figured this out when we got home...To make a long story short, there were TEARS (both Logan and Ella (who was sad for her brother and nearly my tears too), a few more droplets of blood, screams, phone calls to the dr., and last but not least LUCKILY the battery operated suction that FINALLY moved it down so I could get it out!!!
WHEW! It was a HORRIBLE hour and I am pretty sure I have paid my dues!!!

Party Time!!!

Ella and especially Logan (since he almost had to wait a month after his official bday) were SO excited for their party day!!!
After many discussions, they chose Enchanted Island again...
They couldn't wait to get on the rides!!! Go Logan!
Friends + a roller coaster = fun time!!!
 Logan and his buddy Owen...
Bumper boats were a hit with the boys...
 Spinning and spinning and spinning...
 Boys on the dragon ride...

Ella's turn on the bumper boats..
Coach Paul aka Daddy spinning with the team...
Make a wish my adorable 4 year old!!!
Wonder what this cute 7 year old is wishing for???

A special gift from Ella's sweet friends...a ticket to see the 'Fresh Beat Band' with them
 Ninja Turtles!!!
 More rides before heading out...

Ella and Kellen...He looks like one cool dude driving around a cute older lady...
Another fun birthday year!!! So much warmer than last year!!!
Then it was a quick stop at Grammie and Papa's for a family birthday celebration!!!

A special princess cake for the birthday princess!!!

 Thanks Grammie and Papa..

And then at home, the kiddos opened their gifts from the party!!!
The birthday girl was in Monster High heaven!!!!
