A great Sunday!

We have has some busy weekends filled with work, soccer, etc......
Today we had nothing planned and nowhere to go......
I slept in a bit.....thanks Paul and I needed it. Got some 'odds and ends' done around the house, Logan napped, the kids had lunch.
It was then time to head outdoors and enjoy the beautiful day!
It was a great day for a bikeride.......the kids love the new bike trailer!
We headed to park #1 to take advantage of the big field of grass.....and some slides!
Logan loved to run around and played soccer, baseball, etc.... with daddy

It took Ella a few tries to get used to it, but then she hit about 5 balls in a row.....hard!
Eventually, her arms got tired from the giant bat :0)
Maybe we should look into t-ball for her
Like sister, like brother......BAM-BAM

Ella soon needed the potty so we jumped back on the bikes and headed to park #2

Giddy-up
Ella loves that she can jump and grab this bar and go for a swing

And soon her little follower had to have a try
We had lots of fun on our adventure and when we got home, Ella and I made rice krispie treats.....yum! And of course, she had to add an extra special touch.....pink sprinkles!
Ella also opened up her own Barber Shop today and spent about 20 minutes working on my hair. It was quite special.......she was so proud of it that I even wore it out to deliver some treats to a couple of our neighbors...... they loved it! Maybe she could open up a neighborhood business!

Updates.....

I can't believe it has been nearly 3 months since our little man had his surgery.
He is one of the happiest kids I know.....
Last Friday, we headed back to Phoenix Children's Hospital for his follow-up tests.....
I watched the VCUG closely fully expecting to see NO reflux on the exam, therefore the surgery being a complete success......well, the surgery was a success and there was NO reflux on the left side HOWEVER now there is reflux on the other side........
It is only Grade 2 and his other was Grade 5, BUT it is still there!
I went by the doctor's office on the way home to let him see the tests on the disk and see if he was able to let me know WHY this was happening....
He fit me in between patients and the first thing he said to me was, "why you?"
EXACTLY....why Logan?
I guess this reflux could have always been there but never showed itself sinc the other side was so bad and now since there is no easy way up, it is going that route.
He wants us to stop the antibiotics and we will re-run the tests in a year and PRAYING that this reflux resolves itself and that he remains infection free until that time.
So tonight, after nearly 500 daily doses of antibiotics, of which we NEVER missed a dose, I gave Logan his last one! It scares me because I feel like now he is more susceptible, but it is time to stop them before he gets resistant to antibiotics.
Logan is pretty happy about it......
And since siblings have a 30% chance of having the same issue, Ella got her renal ultrasound yesterday. She was a bit scared at first, but then she remembered that it was just a 'magic fairy wand' that would be used to take pictures of her tummy. She did great and was a super patient!
Results are still pending! Hoping to get them tomorrow!

And, I just had to add this picture because it was so cute!
This little guy LOVES soccer and spends most of the day kicking balls around the house!
Watch out Beckham, here comes Barron!

remembering.....

Marilyn.....you will be missed.

We know that heaven became alot more fun last Friday when you joined the party up there.

Preschool Prayer Bear

Ella got to take home Prayer Bear from her class this week.....
She is SO excited to have this special visitor at our house.
Of course, prayer bear is a 'she' according to Ella so I will refer to it as a 'she'.
Dr. Ella had to make sure she was nice and healthy for her visit with us.
Dr. Ella gives her a good report......
And amazingly little miss not tired took a nap yesterday afternoon with her special visitor.
We had to wait for daddy to get home to make dinner......homemade pizza.
Ella always loves to help until she gets distracted and then just starts eating the cheese.
Extra books after dinner since we had a special guest
Ready for bed.......prayer bear, cup of water, and cup of fizzy water.
She made sure that she kept the bear hydrated.
Today, even Logan was allowed to play with prayer bear.....but just for a short time and Ella was sure to watch his every move!
We took a few minutes to enjoy the little bit of sunshine that we have had this week.
Good thing we had an extra swing for her friend

And Ella even made sure that she taught Prayer Bear how to play soccer.....
Now we get to document all of these moments and things that we are thankful for and add them to the book for her class.....homework!

Monday Funday

Monday we went to Disney on Ice.......with Megan and Addy.
It was our Christmas present to each other....

The girls were super excited and always love to dress up for the occasion....it is hard to see in this photo but Ella's hat had mouse ears. It was her Disneyland hat and it matched her tutu perfectly! Addy made a pretty Cinderella and did a great job walking in her heels.
The girls waiting for the show to start....
We had great seats.......
The girls loved Cars, Little Mermaid, and Tinkerbell but didn't like Lion King.......maybe it had something to do with the SCARY animals and the death of the father lion.....
Why do they always have to make some part of the show scary??????
After a girls lunch, we headed back to Grammie and Papa's to pick up Logan..
He had a fun time getting spoiled....
Such a big boy sitting up at the table and doing puzzles.

Food Fun

It seems like my photos of Logan always involve food......guess that's because he LOVES food!
Had to post a few from the past week.....
Doughnuts are Delightful, especially when you eat them whole
Super cute doughnut face.......

And then comes two of his other favorites.......strawberries and lasagna
Again he feels the need to eat them WHOLE!
Lasagna......yum!
I finally caught a photo of Paul's scary feeding face....
no wonder Logan would rather pick it up and eat it!

Birthday Celebrating......

Gotta catch up on my posting.......
Here are some pics from the birthday boy's morning last week....
Ella had made him a special card....

It was perfect!

Daddy loved it and she was soooo proud!
Since our good friend Jen's birthday is the day after Pauls, we went out to Ah-So on Friday night for our 2nd annual family birthday bash!
Good food, good friends, good fun!

Happy 29th Birthday Jen!

The kids loved watching the food cook and even though Ella covered her eyes during the 'fire' we often caught her peeking.

Even little Logan loved watching the food cook! And LOVED eating it even more.
He couldn't get enough of the fried rice.......either could his sister who finished all of hers and traded her chicken for Brooke's rice....

We are thankful for our great friends and happy we could all celebrate together!
