Breakfast with Captain

It wasn't easy getting the kids up this morning to get ready after their late night partying with Aunt Suz, but once they were dressed and we were on our way, they were super excited.

Elevate Coffee at Norterra is having a weekly breakfast with characters on Tuesday mornings and today was Peter Pan....

Logan was SOOOOOO excited to see Captain Hook and had to wear his 'walk the plank' shirt...

The kids eating breakfast and waiting for the characters to arrive...

Peter Pan and the kiddos
Michael, Wendy, and John....

Tinkerbell and the kiddos...

Watching them perform one of the songs....

Finally.....Logan got to meet Captain

Tiger Lily and the kiddos...

And back to Captain....Logan was so happy....He couldn't wait to show him his shirt

So then, of course, since Logan wanted an 'alone' photo with Captain, Ella wanted an 'alone' photo with Tiger Lily

....and after more stalking, he begged and pleaded with me to have ONE MORE MOMMY!!! And another photo was taken...

how cute is this little pirate...

They have already been asking to go to another one.....Princess and Winnie the Pooh are the remaining ones that are scheduled.....

Our Official 'Swimmer'

Saturday morning we woke up and Ella informed us.....

"mommy and daddy, so I was thinkin'....today, I am going to swim without my float suit. I think I can do it all by myself"

We agreed that she could try, but we definitely weren't convinced that she could. Ella hasn't been a 'brave' one in the water. This year we had purchased a 'float' suit that goes around her middle and has 9 float pads inside. You slowly take them out....we had taken 2 of the 7 out ( without her noticing), but we didn't think we were quite at the 'all by herself' point

Well, we got in the pool and away she went.....swimming with no floats, across the pool & back.

Amazing!!!

The Sun Will Come Out......

....tomorrow!

Friday night, we had a date with Megan and Addy for dinner and then to see the valley youth theater's "Annie"

We decided to try out a new place for dinner and headed to "The Duce".....

Besides being a 'little warm'.....it was alot of fun and the girls really enjoyed it.

It is a big warehouse with a soda fountain, a pie shop, a vintage store, lots of picnic tables, a boxing ring, bleachers and a movie screen.....

Below is a photo of the girls at the soda fountain....

Taking a swing at the bag....

Addy 'warming up'

The duel in the ring...

Enjoying the BEST strawberry milkshake EVER!

Ahhh! Ice cold lemonade

And then it was off to enjoy "Annie"....no photos in the theater but the whole cast is in the lobby after. We have been to LOTS of plays with Addy and she never wants to get her photo taken with the actors, but this time she did......but only the 'furry' ones......she is such an animal lover!

Ella and Annie.....she had to have her hair curled to be just like Annie....

It was crazy to see their make-up up close, you couldn't tell there was all the lines drawn and shading during the play and we were in the front row....

It was a late night for us and we all had a great time.....

The Circus...

Yesterday was 115 degrees, which means staying inside as much as possible during the day and that the circus is in town!!!

We headed downtown last night to enjoy the show

We always get there an hour early to enjoy the pre-show

Ella loved being so close to the zebras but we didn't enjoy the smell...
Logan had the best seat in the house....daddy's shoulders

Ella was front row as Asia painted her pre-show pictures

And then it was time to head to our seats...

It was a great show...

Enjoying intermission...they thought this photo was hilarious because of their closed eyes

The 2nd part was even better than the first...

We were all super tired at the end....it was a late night but well worth it

Daisy

Yesterday, we had the chance to meet Grammie and Papa's new pup...

DAISY!!!

She is a 10 month old Border Terrier that they got from a rescue

She is so sweet and was so timid when we got there but warmed up really quick

Look at her sweet eyes as Papa talks to her...

The kids were so excited and she was sooooo good with them.

She would just sit there as they pet her and then she would sneak a kiss to them

Daisy and Grams...again look at her sweet eyes

This sweet little boy LOVES Daisy....Grammie was talking to him on the phone before they picked her up and told Logan that they were thinking of the name Sydney and Logan said, "Sinee" and then when Grammie told him Daisy, Logan shouted, "Daisy the Dog. Daisy wuvs me" and Daisy it was :0)

They both have the same eyes in this photo below.....so sweet

Ella was coloring and whistled and Daisy's ears perked up and she stayed right there with her

Daisy is one sweet dog who we will all love

We will definitely miss Maggie, but as Ella said when she found out that Mags went to heaven, "Mommy, there is one good thing about this. Maggie and Sprouters can play all day together again in heaven. Everything else about this is sad, but that is happy"

Celebrating Daddies...

We took Paul out for doughnuts on Sunday morning to celebrate his great 'daddiness'!!!

After naps, we headed to Renee and Kenny's house for dinner and swimming...

The kids were soooo excited to try out the diving board

Logan was the 1st one on it...

And splash...in he went

Aunt Renee didn't do such a good job 'catching' him :0)

And again.....and again....he jumped
Ella was trying out her new mask, snorkel, and flippers...

Uncle Pat and Ella

The 'behind' view of his jumping...

The best daddy with his kiddos...
Pat and Jack...

And back to Logan jumping...

Ella did jump off 1 time, but I didn't get a photo and it didn't happen a 2nd time

....And what could be better after a long day of swimming then sitting with Papa and eating ice cream :0)

Papa and Ella

And then a little cousin time...

Ella also got some 'pool' lessons from Uncle Kenny...

It was a great Father's Day!!!

I am so lucky to have such a great dad and so blessed to also have the best daddy for my kids!
