Filming "The Last Dance"

Thanks to a referral from my good friend Jen, my kiddos were able to be a part of a fabulous short film, "The Last Dance."  They were just in a couple of short scenes and played grandchildren of the main characters.  They were excited and couldn't wait for the day to come....
Logan actually played the son of Jen and Blake (our friends) and as I explained this to him, he got a strange look on his face and said, "But after it's done, you are my mom again right?"....So cute!!!
So all of that day, he called them Movie Mama or Movie daddy....
He had no problem jumping in the chair for make-up...

And, of course, Ella had NO PROBLEM with any of it....
She couldn't wait for her turn in the chair and asked for a lipgloss touch-up and a powder many times throughout the day....

They acutally were 'cousins' in the film....
So cute....

The company is called Future Legend Productions and all the kids took turns sitting in the chair...

The director, Marcus is a great guy....very talented and what patience he has to work with so many kids....  Ella and Logan really enjoyed working with him and he actually wrote a part for them in an upcoming project he is working on which is exciting....
What a fun experience they had....
Paul and I actually ended up as extras in the film.....
We can't wait to see it this summer....
It will be going to multiple film festivals

Corny

Just had to share this corny pic!

Mother's Day

I am blessed to have a fabulous mom, a fabulous mother-in-law, and two fabulous kids who made me a 'mommy'...
Thanks mom and mum for all you do!
The kids surprised me with their special gift yesterday morning...
They had each painted me a special frame with a photo in it
I LOVED THEM!!!
How sweet are these two kiddos!  I am one lucky mommy!
We met my family for an early breakfast...
Yum! Cinnamon roll french toast hit the spot...
It was nice to celebrate with my mom!

It was a wonderful day!
We spent the remainder of the day relaxing, swimming, and then out for dinner!
Thanks for making me such a lucky mommy!

Cupcake Season Ends

The spring season of soccer has ended....
It was a great few months and the girls really worked hard
Ella has really become quite the player and she LOVES it!
She wants to be on the field every second of the game :0)
Cruising past a giant on the other team
Logan with his new umbrella for shade
Would love to know what the girls are talking about in the pic below...
The ref called for 'captains' in the tournament which took us a little by surprise....look at their cute handshake before the game
 And she is off...
Ella is a little speedster...look at her little stride compared to the girl she's running with
 Love this action shot...
 Great job girls!

Can't wait for the fall!

Mother's Day Tea

Ella came home from school last week with my 'special' shirt to wear to the Mother's Day tea...
It was sooooooo cute....It came with a poem,
"Sometimes you get discouraged
Because I am so small
And always leave my fingerprints
On furniture and walls
But every day I'm growing...
I'll be grown some day
And all those tiny handprints
Will surely fade away
So here's a little handprint
Just so you can recall
Exactly how my fingers looked
When I was very small"

The kids sang us special songs about loving their moms and the second song was super special and they made us our own special box to keep close to our heart...
Ella and her teacher....a soon to be new mommy
Me and Ella by her butterfly
 I love my sweet girl

A visit from 'Flat Annie'

We had a visitor all the way from Missouri....Flat Annie
We took some photos with her while she was in Arizona
It was the first time Flat Annie had seen a cactus.  This one is a saghuaro.
And then Flat Annie got to see her first palm tree....
After spending a little time outside, Flat Annie realized just how HOT Arizona can be...
It was time to cool off in the pool with Ella and Logan...
The kids loved spending time with Annie, so they took her with them the rest of the day.
They built Legos...
 Played 'Operation'
And what is better than 'Angry Birds'
It was then time for a bedtime story....read by Ella
Flat Annie took turns sleeping in Ella and Logan's beds....

Flat Annie realized that some things are different in Arizona.....like the trees, cactus, plants, and weather but some things are the same....like games, people, and fun!!!
