Halloween Night

We have been counting down for many days in anticipation of today...

HALLOWEEN!!!

My job was to make popcorn balls....candy corn popcorn balls....SUPER YUMMY!!!

And after picking up Ella from school, it was time to get ready...

Ella was transformed into an adorable witch

Logan said his costume for today was going to be a "surprise"...

He had decided on Batman, but with 90 degree weather, it was just too hot, so luckily we had backup and Logan-Lancelot emerged...

We couldn't wait to join our friends for a fabulous night!

Fierce!
My kiddos...

It was hard to get them to stand still for a second...

Piper and her knight in shining armour

The Four Amigos!

The egg showing the spread...

The desserts...

Ella and her best buddy, Gianna...

Treak or treat!

Trick or treat...

Logan's most prized possession...

Buddy check! The kids did a great job sticking together...

The neighborhood was CRAZY and so fun with so many kids!!!

Two adorable witches...

Two peas in a pod...

Me and my knight

One of the houses was set up to walk through as a haunted house...

I had to take this photo of the creepy two headed baby because the theme of our night was buddy check...

Another scary feature of the haunted house...

Best buddies...

The boys...

What fun!!!

M.O.C....moms of cupcakes....

And to finish we a couple of family pics...

Carving time...

The kiddos couldn't wait for today!!!

Pumpkin carving or as they prefer....'punkin carving!'

We decided it would be girls vs. boys

Ella was up for the challenge

She was adorable 'planning' all week

Team Girls
Logan was ready to win!

Team Boys

The kids weren't fans of digging out the pumpkin guts...

I got really good at it after volunteering in Ella's classroom, so as Paul and I dug out guts, Ella became the photographer...

It was fun to try to get Logan with my pumpkin hands!!!

Team boys working on their masterpiece...

Team Girls working hard...

Then it was time to paint...

Logan had SO much fun painting...

Team Boys....proud of their finished product....So SCARY

Team Girls....our pumpkin princess witch

It was such a fun afternoon....We listened to Halloween music as we carved

The kids loved making their pumpkins

And don't mind the 'poop field' (we are overseeding) in the background

We finished up the night with another pumpkin shaped pizza and then we made cinnamon sugar roasted pumpkin seeds....thank goodness our pumpkins had lots of seeds!

Happy Halloween tomorrow!

Pizza and Pumpkins...

"Can we go to Grammie and Papa's today?.......PAH-LEEEEEEZE?????"

I hear this almost daily from both Ella and Logan....

They LOVE their grams and papa....

Ella has early release all week for conferences so what better way to spend the afternoon then doing what they love best...

We picked up a jack-o-lantern pizza on the way and got Logan's shaggy hair cut...

Grammie and the kiddos with the before pizza....they had the giggles

Ella giving Daisy lots of hugs...they LOVE her!
The after pizza....it was YUMMO! (as Logan said)
His new thing is saying things are Yummo or Yucko....

Logan with his cone mouth and Papa sneaking up behind...

Logan loving on Daisy...Love this pic

What a fun afternoon!!!

The pizza was great and the kids loved their pumpkins!!!

Thanks Grams and Papa.....love ya!

Amazing Ainslie

This past Sunday, we were blessed to be able to be a part of 'Team Amazing Ainslie' at the Hope Kids walk...

When I worked at the Pointe South Mountain (many years ago)....I met my fabulous friend Elizabeth while working together at the Front Desk...We still keep in touch, though not as often as we would probably like since we are both busy mommies. Her daughter, Ainslie, was diagnosed with Wilm's Tumor and has thankfully just completed her treatment for her cancer. I sent lots of prayers her way and I was so proud that my family could walk as part of her team...

Ella and Logan in their team shirts...

Enjoying the pre-walk festivities...
The coyote with Logan and daddy...

Ainslie and Elizabeth

Ella and her mermaid...

The Herb Family...We love you guys!

Us....nice and sweaty after the walk...

I was really proud of Ella and Logan....Ella walked nearly the entire 5k and Logan did about half...

Ella and Logan both walked with McKyrie and talked her ear off....she is the sweetest and held their sweaty hands and listened to all their stories

Thanks for including us in this event!!!
We can't wait to join in again next year!!!
