Summer...

The summer is going quickly and we are trying to enjoy every second....

It was exactly 6 weeks yesterday until Ella starts kindergarten :0(

A couple of weeks ago, we met up with a bunch of Ella's preschool friends at the park...thank goodness it wasn't one of the 113 degree days and was tolerable while we were there...

They were all so excited to see each other...

Just one of the 'boys'...I know that when Logan starts school, he is going to wonder why the friends he made from Ella's class aren't there...

It was fun to have all the siblings there....

Lately, we have been spending 'extra' time indoors thanks to the increasing temps....

SOMETIMES, the kids are actually nice to each other :0)

Who would have thought that a bunch of plastic cups could make a morning so much fun!

And then last Saturday, when I was working, Paul and the kiddos got to enjoy our sweet neighbor's birthday party at the splash pad...

Logan LOVES Batman....he was so excited when we found this shirt for Ella and even more excited when the snapfish catalog came in the mail and there was a personalized Batman coffee cup....had to get it for daddy for Father's Day....

My Birthday...

Nothing better than spending my birthday morning with the kiddos.....we went to the summer movie and then out to lunch with some friends. After it was back home for nap/rest time and then off to Saddle Ranch for dinner....

Dinner was good, but everything got much better when the giant 3 ft. cotton candy arrived to the table! Making a moustache like muntz...

After dinner, the kiddos had to pose by the fountain...

And then we decided to pop into Cabela's for a quick look at the fish...

They loved seeing all the animals and especially loved the 'sucker fish' who made them laugh!

And then it was time for a little BBQ and pool party...

Always fun to catch up with friends....this is our new little neighbor Kade with his daddy and his aunt...

Thanks to everyone who helped to celebrate my birthday! It was a great one! I even had a special night out with some of my girl friends later in the week to celebrate another night....dinner and a movie! I am one lucky gal!

GrandBill

GrandBill came to visit us the end of May....he enjoyed his visit to San Diego with us....he enjoyed many steak dinners (his favorite) and he enjoyed spending lots of time in the pool!

The kids loved having their grand grandfather here and kept him busy!

He was here to see both Ella and Logan become 'brave' and jump off the side...

It took a little longer for Ella to 'find her braveness' and jump...

But finally she did...and hasn't stopped since

Luckily it was warm enough to swim but cool enough to enjoy BBQ and eating outside while GrandBill was here....

GrandBill left last week and Logan is still wondering when he is 'coming home'.....

Summer begins in.....

in San diego!!!

Last week we headed out to the beach......

Antibiotics on hand for Logan, who was diagnosed with strep the day before, the drive went by quickly...We were pleasantly surprised with how FABULOUS the condo was and where it was located....Below it the courtyard downstairs from our condo..

We couldn't wait to get down to the sand....Ella and I had a great time before dinner

Looking at this photo is funny, I didn't realize what an audience I had...

As much as Ella will deny it right now...she definitely thought this turtle was REAL and was scared to get close...

We LOVED watching all the surfers while we were there...Ella was excited to see all the boards here...

"DUH-SKUSKTIN"...Logan was mortified over the smell and 'look' of the outdoor penguin water. It stunk!!! The water was green and the rocks were covered in poop! ICK!
