We awoke to a light dusting of beautiful snow and some crazy icicles lining the cabin......
After bundling the kids up, we loaded up the van and off to the lodge for breakfast we went.
Breakfast was yummy too! Ella LOVED the bacon!
The fireplace was roaring as we got the kids dressed for the snow.
So cute.....just couldn't resist another
And of course there has to be a crazy face!

It was so funny to see all the little puffballs crammed into their carseats.....thanks goodness it was just for a short ride
We decided to treat ourselves to a sleigh ride while we were there.......It was the perfect day for it.......
While the horses were being saddled up, we took advantage of the time to have snowball battles, make snow angels, and just enjoy the snow.....
Soon the sleigh was ready and we all climbed aboard.....
It was like a scene from a holiday movie.....Beautiful snow covered forests and it was even snowing during the ride!
Ella was determined to catch some snowflakes......you can see all she caught on her eyebrows, lashes, and forehead.
After our spectacular ride, we decided to recycle our snowman's noses and reward the horses for a job well done.....Ella was quite brave and went first.
After losing some layers before buckling into the car for the long drive home, we bid a sad farewell to our winter wonderland.....
