Updates.....

I can't believe it has been nearly 3 months since our little man had his surgery.
He is one of the happiest kids I know.....
Last Friday, we headed back to Phoenix Children's Hospital for his follow-up tests.....
I watched the VCUG closely fully expecting to see NO reflux on the exam, therefore the surgery being a complete success......well, the surgery was a success and there was NO reflux on the left side HOWEVER now there is reflux on the other side........
It is only Grade 2 and his other was Grade 5, BUT it is still there!
I went by the doctor's office on the way home to let him see the tests on the disk and see if he was able to let me know WHY this was happening....
He fit me in between patients and the first thing he said to me was, "why you?"
EXACTLY....why Logan?
I guess this reflux could have always been there but never showed itself sinc the other side was so bad and now since there is no easy way up, it is going that route.
He wants us to stop the antibiotics and we will re-run the tests in a year and PRAYING that this reflux resolves itself and that he remains infection free until that time.
So tonight, after nearly 500 daily doses of antibiotics, of which we NEVER missed a dose, I gave Logan his last one! It scares me because I feel like now he is more susceptible, but it is time to stop them before he gets resistant to antibiotics.
Logan is pretty happy about it......
And since siblings have a 30% chance of having the same issue, Ella got her renal ultrasound yesterday. She was a bit scared at first, but then she remembered that it was just a 'magic fairy wand' that would be used to take pictures of her tummy. She did great and was a super patient!
Results are still pending! Hoping to get them tomorrow!

And, I just had to add this picture because it was so cute!
This little guy LOVES soccer and spends most of the day kicking balls around the house!
Watch out Beckham, here comes Barron!
